Is there anything outside of what you are?

If you can stop the mind for a moment - just see the "world"... just look without labeling, without mentally separating the seemingly different objects in your field of vision, without catching on sounds that seemingly come to your ear... Just look and hear - a car buzzing by, a bird singing, a horn honking, the TV blaring... now drop "car - bird - horn - TV", just notice that there is just buzzing, singing, honking and blaring...

This is Consciousness - the separation into the apparent subject - YOU - and the object - CAR, BIRD, HORN, TV... This separation only exists if we think about it, in the mind... the entire world is created in this - the universe itself IS this Consciousness...

Now drop the buzzing, singing, honking, blaring... what is left? Just THIS, as it is...

Now notice that thoughts arise - they are arising in this simple awareness of THIS AS IT IS... who is thinking the thoughts? We're back to that subject/object duality... someone thinks... who is thinking?

Drop that "who" and have just thinking is happening.

The "I" arises with the thought that "I" am thinking. "I" am hearing the bird singing... it goes on and on forever... but it is possible to drop all that and just be the hearing of the bird, be the seeing of the thoughts...

There is no magical dropping of the "I"... there is just the seeing that the "I" never really was, only as a concept.

Seeing this, who is searching? Who is hearing that bird? There is no one who can hear the bird, hearing is just going on in the immediacy of this moment.
